Excerpt from Pathfinder TODAY, Volume 4,
Issue #2 —
Wednesday, August 12, 2009, page 4: "Pin
trading at Pathfinder events is a highly-anticipated
activity. Clubs from all around the world get excited
about the opportunity to collect and trade shining
commemorative pieces of their interactions with
other clubs and conferences.
... Larger conferences have made their more
prevalent pins rarer by creating them in sets which
send Pathfinders on a hunt to collect them all.
Other additions which have hiked demand for pins
include the installment of blinking lights, whirling
fans, odd shapes and eye-catching color
combinations."
Some traders wore pins
on their caps.
Some traders wore them
everywhere!
Some
collections were
displayed on
towels.
Some traders
put their pins
on their
messenger
bags.
Joshua Wildcat
traders near the Netherlands campsite
wore them on lanyards.
